About

Our Story

An easy-going island retreat for couples and families who want warm hospitality, tropical surroundings and unhurried time by the sea.

Olive Green Beach Resort was created around a simple idea: on an island this beautiful, the job of a resort is to stay out of the way. Rather than filling your days with programming, we give you a comfortable base close to the water, food you look forward to, and a team who knows the island well enough to help you spend your time on the things that matter to you.

Havelock Island rewards slowness. Most guests arrive with a list of beaches and boat trips, and leave saying the best part was an afternoon they had not planned — the swim before breakfast, the walk to the tree line at low tide, the evening the sky turned every shade of orange at once. We have built the resort to make those unplanned hours easy.

We host couples on honeymoon, families with young children, divers who spend more time underwater than above it, and travellers who simply want a quiet week with a book. The island is generous enough to suit all of them at the same time.

  • A beachfront setting on Havelock Island, Andaman & Nicobar Islands
  • Rooms for couples, families and small groups
  • Island activities arranged with trusted local operators
  • Fresh coastal cooking with vegetarian and seafood options
  • A team who help plan ferries, transfers and day trips
  • A relaxed, unhurried pace from arrival to departure

A Beachfront Stay

The resort sits close to the shoreline, with beach access, shaded tropical planting and quiet places to sit and watch the sea. Paths run between the rooms and the water through greenery rather than across car parks, so the walk to the sand is part of the holiday.

Shade matters as much as sun here, and the grounds have been planted and kept with that in mind — palms, flowering shrubs and cool corners for the middle of the day.

Island Hospitality

Our team looks after the details that make an island holiday easy: the arrival after a long ferry crossing, the room that is ready and cool, the early breakfast before a dive, the advice on which beach is best at which hour.

Most of our team live on the island. When they recommend a stretch of sand, a boat operator or the right time to head out for sunset, it is from experience rather than a brochure.

Made For Slow Days

Mornings by the water, afternoons in the shade, evenings watching the Andaman sunset — the rhythm here is gentle and unforced. Nothing is compulsory and nothing runs to a strict schedule.

If you want a busy day of diving, sightseeing and island-hopping, we will arrange it. If you want to do nothing at all for three days, that is equally well supported.

Who is the resort best suited to?
Couples, families with children and small groups of friends. Divers and snorkellers are especially at home here, and so are travellers who simply want quiet days by the sea.

The Andamans are warm year-round, with a monsoon period when sea conditions are rougher and some boat activities pause. Tell us your intended dates and we will tell you honestly what the sea is usually like then.
Can you help with travel planning?
Yes. Havelock is reached by ferry from Port Blair, and we are happy to advise on timings and transfers while you book.
How do I check availability?
Use the enquiry form with your dates and group details. Direct booking and contact channels will be connected here once confirmed.
